Lamb, especially lean lamb, has a low fat content and contains around 28% protein. It provides dogs with important B vitamins, vitamin A, vitamin C, as well as valuable minerals such as sodium, iron, potassium, and calcium. B vitamins support metabolism, healthy skin and coat growth, and blood formation. Vitamin A is important for bone growth, cell growth, vision, hearing, and smell. Vitamin C supports the immune system, metabolic processes, and protects against free radicals. Sodium is important for nerve impulse transmission, heart rhythm, muscle function, and fluid balance.
